Sapien · NETSim Software
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 August 2026
Sapien ("the Game") is provided by NETSim Software ("we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect and why.
1. Information We Collect
- Account info. If you create an account to continue past the free daily challenges, we collect your email address and password. Authentication is handled by our provider, Supabase — we don't store your raw password ourselves.
- Game progress. Your daily challenge progress is stored locally on your device (browser local storage) and, for signed-in users, synced to our server so streaks and reminders work across devices.
- Push notification subscription. If you opt in to daily reminders, we store a push subscription token to deliver them. This is entirely optional and off by default.
We do not use ads or third-party analytics/tracking SDKs.
2. How We Use Information
- To run your account and sign-in
- To save and restore your game progress
- To send the daily reminder notification, only if you opted in
- To operate and improve the Game
3. Data Sharing
We don't sell your data. We share the minimum necessary data with:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting
- Your browser/OS push notification service (e.g. FCM) — only if you opted into reminders
We don't share data with advertisers because we don't run ads.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is kept as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and personal data at any time from the account menu in the Game — this removes your login and associated data from our systems.
How to request deletion: Open the Game, tap the Account menu (top-left), and choose Delete account. This permanently and immediately removes your login, game progress, purchase record and push-notification subscription from our systems. If you cannot access your account, email admin@netsim.software from your account's email address and we will delete your data within 30 days.
5. Children's Privacy
Sapien is a general-audience word game and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.
6. Your Choices
- Turn off notifications anytime in your browser/device settings
- Delete your account anytime from the in-app account menu
- Uninstalling the app or clearing local storage removes locally-cached progress
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above.
